I still own 2 rolls of the same material that I used for some decorations for Christmas (look here) and I decided to cut out from them 4 birds..
I didn't have to sew anything. I used some glue even to attach the buttons as eyes...
these are their backs...
Then I collected some skewers and...
....I put my birds in the concrete vase just outside my bedroom...
