As you know, sometimes I crochet (really???) some granny squares just for the pleasure of it (like here)...
....and when I reach a nice number of them, I start to ask myself "Well, what now?"....
....sometimes, the right thing to do is just to start to play with something different, as some circles from thick felt (they are remanent cuts from here)...
I started to play with one of them! In the kitchen I collected a glass to trace some more circles on thin pink felt with the help of a pencil...
I traced 7 pink circles because I have 7 thick felt discs, but this doesn't mean I was going to use all of them straight away!!!!
Then, with the tracing paper and a different glass, I dedicated a little time to design the right hair....
....so I collected some tiny pieces (brads and a felt sticker for the mouth) for the face...
...even this time, a matryoshka entered my mind, so that I had to cut the thick felt to have this...
...At this point I got upset with me, because I did realize that I didn't need anymore the pink circle cut before (too small!!! AAARRRRGH!!!), while I had to trace a new one following the outer circumference of the big green circle....
....after that, I started to attach the hair (and to embellish it!) with some yellow thread on the new pink circle/face...
....completed the hairdo, I put on the "scarf"on my matryoshka's face...
...a mouth, 2 eyes, a flower in the hair and a scarf knot as last touches...
...I've used even some filling for the face...
She seems done, I mean she could be done, but what about the granny squares???
I thought to add a little dress to this lady matryoshka....
...now : I'm really curious to know your comments about this matryoshka brooch!!!
I'm in love with her!!!!
